With your spirit-capturing camera and supernatiral experience can you solve the mysteries behind the horrors that have locked you in? Can you escape in time to go out trick or treating for the much-needed comfort candy you'll need after these scares? In Ghostscape you still need to click around, searching for hidden items to use in secret puzzles, but you can also capture the undead with a special camera and to help you accomplish your tasks you're also given a list of objects and goals you'll need to reach. Rob Cockerham has developed a special code for kids to use on Halloween. In addition to your costume, flashlight, and goody bag (or pillowcase for you pros), you might want to bring a piece of chalk so you can mark each house's front sidewalk with a quick symbol to let other trick or treaters know what to expect or even better avoid. He's come up with thirty-eight symbols, ranging from marking a house as having an open porch bowl to one that gives out money or gift certificates. The ones pictured below for example mean "Fruit or raisins", "toys or stickers", and "dentist".

”DellIn response to updated information supplied to them by Sony relating to recent issues the company experienced with their VAIO TZ-series notebookes, Dell Canada both extending their previous 2006 battery recall program to include 15,000 additional affected laptops and is issuing another recall in regards to Sony Lithium-Ion batteries that were shipped as part of Latitude and Inspiron notebooks. As with Sony's earlier recall(s), the concern here is of a possible fire and burn hazard. Dell Canada estimates that, based on the model numbers involved, there are only 300 Dell notebook computers affected worldwide in the new recall. The battery packs in question were manufactured by Sony on Nov. 9, 2004 and April 11, 2005 and in addition to being shipped as part of new systems, might also have been offered as service replacements. Both the 2006 Dell battery recall and today's Dell battery recall are being covered by DellBatteryProgram.com. Customers can check to see if their battery packs have a matching model number and then can use the contact information provided to get a replacement, no charge. [More]

”Halloween Imagine answering the door with one of these on your arm. Makes interacting with the trick or treaters a lot more fun. Bump In The Night Productions is a California-based company that crafts sculpted Halloween puppets designed for realistic movement. They offer killer klowns and man-eating puppets, evil babies and even a red dragon. Their alien baby puppet includes a sound chip for a haunting wail, although with puppets I think it works better when you do the voice yourself.
